Will Rica's loyalty program remain?

Scandic Friends will replace Rica Points in the future and all members will be able to convert their points and membership level to Scandic Friends. But Rica Points remains until further notice and you earn points and get benefits as usual. We will inform all our members before any changes are made.

How many Scandic Friends-points will I get?

That has not been defined yet but all members will be informed once we have decided.

Which membership level will I get in Scandic Friends?

Scandic Friends and Rica Points both have four membership levels. Your new level will be at least equivalent to your current level in Rica Points.

Can I get the level I have in Rica Points directly in Scandic Friends?

Not for the time being.

When will my points and level be transferred from Rica Points to Scandic Friends?

We are currently looking at different options, as soon as we have the answer we will inform all members.

I'm a member of both Rica Points and Scandic Friends, do I need to do anything?

Both memberships apply as usual until further notice. You will eventually be able to convert your Rica Points night and points to Scandic Friends, but Rica Points remains until further notice and you earn points and get benefits as usual.

Will Rica Points member benefits be valid at Scandic?

We will have a look at the benefits and conditions that apply for Ricas loyalty program Rica points, and see if there is anything that we can and should bring with us to Scandic Friends.

Will Rica Points-members get benefits at Scandic already now?

Not just yet, however, they are allowed to book the Scandic Friends weekend offer: 20% discount off flex, online booking only, subject to availabiltiy. Promotion code FG2.

What happens with my reward night reservations at Rica?

You can book reward nights as usual until further notice. We will inform all our members before any changes are made.

When can I book a reward night at Scandic with my Rica-points?

We are currently looking at different options, as soon as we have a solution we will inform all members.

Are the extern partner discounts still valid? (Avis, Strömma, Falck etc.)

Yes, for as long as Rica Points remains.

How do I sign up for Rica Points?

You can sign up by using our enrollment form online, or you can fill out a registration form when you stay at one of our hotels.

If my points have not been registered, what do I do?

Send an e-mail to Rica Contact Center at . Remember to state your membership number and hotel, as well as your arrival and departure date.

Is there any expiration date on my points?

The points are valid for 3 years. I.e. the points you collect in 2013, expire on 12.31.2016.

I have lost my Rica Points card, how do I get a new one?

Either call Rica Contact Center +47 66 85 45 60 or contact us via e-mail .

I have forgotten my username and password. Do I have to sign up again?

If you contact Rica Contact Center either by phone +47 66 85 44 60, or by e-mail at , they will assist you with username and password. If you have your membership number, but not your password, you may use the «Forgotten password?», button where you usually sign in.

What are the benefits being a Rica Points member?

Are there any costs being a member?

A membership in Rica Points is free of charge.

How do I see what kind of level my membership is?

The color on your membership card indicates your level. You may also log on to your account to see the level of your membership.

When do I get upgraded to the next membership level?

When you first sign up to Rica Points, you get the White card. After seven stays you get upgraded to Silver. When you have stayed at our hotels for 25 nights, you get the Gold card, and after 70 stays you get the last possible upgrade, the Black card.

If I don’t have an e-mail, is it not possible to sign up for Rica Points?

If you don’t have an e-mail you may call Rica Contact Center on +47 66 85 45 60, and give them your information. You can also receive a registration form by mail or get this when you stay at one of our hotels. Then simply fill out and send in to us, or you may deliver it to a Rica Hotel.

Where is my membership number?

Your membership number is on the front of your Rica Points card. If you don’t have your card you can call Rica Contact Center at +47 66 85 45 60, or send them an e-mail , and they will provide your membership number.

How many points do I get when spending one night at your hotel?

You collect 500 points for each night you stay at our hotels.

How many points do I need to get a bonus night?

A bonus night is “charged” with 5.000 points per night in weekend (Friday-Sunday) and 10.000 points per night in weekdays (Sunday-Friday).

How do I figure out how many points I have?

You can check your balance by logging on to your account. You may also contact Rica Contact Center by phone: +47 66 85 45 60, or by e-mail: . If you have signed up for the monthly newsletter, you will also be able to see your balance there.

Do I get points on my Rica Points card even if I forget to bring my card to check-in?

Yes you do. Please state your membership number if you have it, or inform the staff that you are a member of Rica Points. The hotel should then be able to verify that your stay is registered on your profile.

Can I transfer points from my account to another Rica Points account?

No, it is not possible to transfer points to other accounts.

Is it possible to register points after my stay?

We can register points that are not older than 6 months. When you first sign up for Rica Points we can register points for stays you have had during the same month you sign up. Write to . Remember to state your membership number and hotel, as well as your arrival and departure date.

Is it possible to get bonus points on both my Rica Points card AND my Eurobonus card?

You only get points on one of the cards, not both. You decide which card you want to register the points.

Do I get points for several rooms on the same night if I am paying for the rooms?

The Rica Points Card is personal so you only get points for the room you are staying in, even if you pay for other rooms.

Do I get points on bonus stays?

No, you do not get points when you are staying bonus nights.

Is it possible for other people to collect points on my behalf (i.e. my wife, husband, children etc.)?

No, the card is personal, and you can only collect points when you are staying at one of our hotels.

What can I use my points for?

The points can only be used for over night stays.

How do I order a bonus night?

You can order your bonus night with the preferred hotel directly, or you can contact Rica Contact Center by phone +47 85 45 60 or by e-mail .

When can I use a bonus night?

A bonus night can be used on weekends from Friday to Monday. You can also use them on weekdays for a double points charge. This depends on the available capacity on the preferred hotel.

How far in advance do I have to order my stay to be able to use bonus points?

There is no particular “deadline”. You can order your stay far in advance, or on the day you’re staying at our hotel.

Is it possible to get a standard double room by using bonus points?

Yes, by withdrawal of bonus points you get a standard double room.

Can I order a bonus night for family and friends?

Yes, Silver, Gold and Black members can give away bonus nights. It’s important that you as the owner of the card make the reservation.

Can I order a bonus night now even though I don’t have enough points, and I have booked several reservations before the intended bonus night?

No, to be able to order a bonus night stay, you must have enough points on your account.

Is it possible to cancel a bonus night?

Yes, you may cancel your order without loosing your points until 4PM on the arrival day. If you cancel your order after 4PM on the arrival day you will not get your points back to your account.

I am a Gold/Black member. Where can I turn when the hotel is fully booked?

For use of the Gold and Black room guarantee, contact Rica Contact Center by phone +47 66 85 45 60 or by e-mail . The room guarantee is 3 days before the stay for Gold, and 2 days for Black.

How do I update my user profile?

You can change your information by logging on to your account, or by sending an e-mail to .

Is it possible to earn or use points on rooms during the day?

No, you have to spend the night to earn and use points.

When using the room guarantee, can I pay with bonus points?

No, when you use the room warranty you have to pay for your stay. However, you are still collecting nignts.
